Anyone can experience a mental health problem, and it affects one in four of us every year. In our hospitals and communities, over 35,000 people are supported each year by Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. Headlight works to make life better for each and every one of these people, by providing extras that wouldn't otherwise be possible from NHS funding.
The extras that we are able to provide can make all the difference to our patients' experiences and recovery, whether that's making our care environments more comfortable and welcoming, providing extra recreational and therapeutic activities to support recovery or backing local projects with the potential to improve our services. We also work to increase awareness of mental health and reduce the stigma associated with mental health problems. That's because we believe that mental health is every bit as important as physical health.
